Don Diablo‘s Hexagon label has been known to put out top quality electronic music for a while now, with releases spanning multiple styles of house music. Madison Mars is one of the driving forces behind the label and has been redefining the way house music is produced.
His new EP, Ready or Not, is a display of his production prowess, exemplifying that he can produce any genre.
- The title track samples classic hip hop song “Ready or Not” by Fugees and delivers a gorgeous house drop. It was also one of the highlights of Don Diablo’s Ultra Music Festival set in Miami where it was one of his opening songs.
- “Doppler” is another heavy hitting house track that will immediately make you want to move. Supported by Rob Swire of Knife Party/Pendulum, he stated: “I’m obsessed with this tune. Perfect blend of heavy, melodic, 90’s house.”
- “Venus” is a vocal chopped future bass wonder, channeling elements from other great future bass producers but giving the genre a new twist by adding his own production style.
- The EP ends with “Down”, a more relaxed down-tempo house/future bass hybrid track great to listen to at any time of day.
There are very few 4 track EP’s where every song is top quality, but Ready or Not is one of the exceptions. Madison Mars delivers a beautiful body of work that will please not only house music fans but music fans in general.
