From Ryan Hemsworth newest label SECRET SONGS comes this CutMyLips collaboration with INODI “Killing Me Inside.”

Interestingly enough, both CutMyLips and INODI provided two different takes on the material.

Both unsigned, CutMyLips and INODI both provide a refreshing take on this song “Killing Me Inside”.

CutMyLips provides the first remix starting off with chimes and bells, then enters his unique style around 0:30. Crossing genres of 8-bit, trap, and hip-hop, CutMyLips focuses more on the darker side of the track.

Picture yourself in Zelda’s Majora Mask, but also in the infamous Matrix dance party scene in Zion and you’re there. Careful to not ruin the integrity of the song, CutMyLips focuses instead to provide a smooth ride throughout and instead of “hitting the drop”, he glitters the track with multiple interesting layers that take part of enhancing each section of the track providing an enjoyable listen.

INODI’s version begins with brighter synths – a stark contrast to CutMyLips. Using brighter 8-bit synth work, INODI takes us out of the “Cave” setting that CutMyLips showcased. However, INODI isn’t afraid to create deeper bass work & highlight the traditional heavy trap hi-hats at the 0:54 mark utilizing the 8-bit wobble.

This version is more upbeat and “club” oriented – this is made to get you moving where CutMyLips wanted you to sit down and listen. At 2:10 INODI calms the track down back to the bright stab-y synths. 2:51 INODI brings it back to the upbeat section – this time he utilizes juke rhythms to pulse and push us to the end.

Ryan Hemsworth couldn’t have said it better, “the production pristine but nonetheless creative and dynamic. enjoy both of these tracks, two alternate approaches to one sample and original idea.”
