Dutch producer Unders put his own spin on Bon Iver’s classic, “Hinnom, TX”, and it’s an irreplaceable homage to the original that deserves to fall on new ears.
Just like the original, Unders’ version brings a spacey and introspective sound that’s seldom found in electronic music.
Beginning with a pulsating bass line that lasts throughout the track’s entirety, Unders builds an under-the-radar song that grows on the ears with every passing second.
As the song progresses, light falsetto vocals add to the mix to bring the vibe to an atmospheric high. As the bass pushes the song along, Unders’ continues to layer lyrics that bring more than just reminiscences of Bob Dylan’s “Lay Lady Lay” racing through the mind.
All in all, Unders takes a unique approach to his “Hinnom, TX” remix but keeps it close enough to the original to capture the ethereal feel. With a minimal sound and sparse instrumentation, Under’s remix of “Hinnom, TX” is one chill mix that you have to check out.
