With the imminent release of Bassnectar’s new album on June 30 – Bassheads worldwide are uniting for something special: a global listening party. The album, entitled Into the Sun, features 16 tracks and a 70-minute mix to appease the worldwide bass loving masses.
So what exactly is this listening party, you ask?
At 7 p.m. Pacific Time on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 the world will collectively press play and jam to Into the Sun’s “Mixtape 13”.
The idea behind the listening party is that Bassheads the world over can unite through music and join together to share the experience across borders and boundaries.
By uniting through sound, Lorin Ashton AKA Bassnectar hopes to create “a feedback loop of music, emotions, and pixels that transcends 4-dimensional spacetime.”
On the surface, the listening party is about listening to some new Bassnectar. Under that exterior, however, one discovers that it’s about much more than that.
It’s about bridging gaps and uniting communities through a single shared goal: getting down to some new Nectar.
