1. Las Vegas, Nevada
Not only does Las Vegas round out our list of top EDM cities in the United States, but it rivals Ibiza for the top spot of destinations in the entire world. When it comes to lavish nightclubs, epic pool parties, and the biggest names holding down residencies, no other city comes close to Las Vegas. Sin City owns 6 of the top 7 and 13 of the top 17 overall highest revenue grossing nightclubs on Nightclub & Bar’s Top 100 list, raking in a combined $520MM+ dollars per year. XS, Marquee, Hakkasan, Tao, Lavo… The list goes on and on and on.
Throw in arguably the largest electronic dance music festival in the world in Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas and you have a well rounded EDM paradise in the middle of the desert. And it only keeps expanding. EDCLV 2013 generated $238MM for the local economy with over 345,000 attendees. 2014 looks to blow that out of the water with over 400,000 estimated attendees, having sold out tickets more than 2 months in advance before any hint of a lineup was even announced.
It’s not all games in the desert. EDMbiz, the official electronic dance music business conference is held annually in Las Vegas at The Cosmopolitan and features industry moguls such as Pasquale Rotella, Afrojack, Kaskade, and many more.
