The Carefully Curated Stage Lineups for the 21st Shambhala Music Festival

After celebrating their 20 year anniversary, Shambhala Music Festival returns this August 10th-13th in British Columbia. Hosted at the beautiful Salmo River Ranch, the festival provides an opportunity for festival-goers to be replenished by nature for four heavenly days. Along the river you will find top talents’ performing across six innovative stages. To increase the anticipation, Shambhala announces the lineup for each stage.

Shambhala will be presenting the Pagoda, Village, Grove, Living Room, AMPhitheatre, and the Fractal Forest specially curated stages.

The Pagoda Stage will be showcasing a wide range of electronic music from tech-house to whompy dubstep.

Some of the big names include Dirtybird finest Claude VonStrokeJustin Martin and Fisher, hypnotist REZZ, classics like Adventure Club and Destructo, deep house legend Claptone, melodic dubstep producer Dabin, Black Gummy, and much more.

The Village Stage, was curated for bassheads.

From drum ‘n’ bass and jungle to dubstep and grime you will find that bass blanket you have been looking for. The lineup welcomes the new and the veteran artists like DC BreaksPerkulat0rill.GatesStylust BeatsTRUTHDirt MonkeyShlump, the first ever set in Canada from legendary UK rapper Dizzee Rascal and a DJ set by headliners The Glitch Mob.

Celebrating its fifth year at the festival and uniting an utter buffet of musical sounds is The Grove.

Here you will find The Librarian, a superb German minimal techno and deep house artist Christian LöfflerGoopsteppa, the storytelling music by CharlestheFirst, Grammy award-winning instrumentalists Basstracks. Also, an exclusive Chord Marauders Label Showcase will be taking over including acts like Congi, Geode, and Jafu.

Also know as the beach stage, The Living Room will be the place to be during the day.

You will have all the comforts of home while chilling on the beach along side the Salom River, ie paradise. Here you will find the perfect mixture of genres from bass, downtempo, live bands and of course house music. Acts set to perform include Chicago’s best Mark Farina, love bass machine Random Rab, Australian’s own JPODEl Buho, the always super fun Dirtwire, Eddie C, and a flawless live set of Dimond Saints.

The AMPhitheatre Stage will showcase some of the most innovative and rising stars of tomorrow alongside household names.

Get your outer spacey vibes by heading to any of Barclay CrenshawLiquid StrangerMr. Carmack and Space Jesus‘ set. Other producers to keep on your schedule will be Tsuruda along with UK wizards Roska and Joker. There will also be a specially curated “1985 Music Showcase” where Alix PerezSkepticalChimpo, and Monty will take patrons on an aural journey through the history of drum ‘n’ bass, grime, and halftime.

The Fractal Forest Stage is where it all started in 1999, as a small stage in the forest.

It’s been the staple place for inviting sounds of bass, turntablism, funk, and all time favorites. Some of the artists to perform will be Stickybuds, Gramatik, The Funk Hunters,  Neon Steve, The Gaff, and Fatty Cakes.

It’s obvious that the music is a huge part of the reason why Shambhala has been around for so long. The festival has devoted itself for many years to convey this kind of musical experience. The past two decades has been focused on implementing musical gems with nurturing surroundings. The environment includes experiences as attractions, feeding the mind and soul with workshops & yoga, and themed camps.
