The 5th Season is Festival Season, the season that dance music fans yearn for. And it’s finally here.
All around the world, people are gearing up for their favorite festivals, from Electric Jungle to Dreamscape, from Imagine to Electric Daisy Carnival. There is a festival for everyone nearly every month.
Here are some pictures from our favorite summer music festivals.
Coachella
Coachella made its first appearance in 1999 with a perfectly eclectic line up that included Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Moby, Die & Dynamite MC, among others. It’s become a festival staple ever since, drawing new and bigger acts every year. Last year, we saw AC-DC, DJ Snake, and the US debut for Alison Wonderland.
2016 looks to bring more of the same eclectic greatness, with acts spanning the genres, from Calvin Harris to Chris Stapleton, Jack U and James Bay, Snails and the infamous Guns N Roses. The first weekend of Coachella is April 15th-16th, finishing up with a second weekend on April 22nd and 23rd.
Electric Daisy Carnival
The mecca of EDM festivals comes in the form of Electric Daisy Carnival. EDC has become a goliath in the festival arena, going international after nearly 20 years with EDC Mexico, EDC UK, and EDC Japan. The pinnacle of EDC happens over 3 days in June in the heart of Sin-City.
EDC Las Vegas 2015 drew nearly 450,000 attendees. Coming up May 15th and 16th, EDC will be in New York and then return to Las Vegas on June 17th.
Bonnaroo
Another festival that brings together the best current and up-and-coming musicians across the genres, Bonnaroo continues to get better, drawing amazing acts every year.
This year, we look forward to such headliners at Pearl Jam and The Chainsmokers, as well as Griz, Lettuce, and Flosstradamus. Bonnaroo will take over Manchester, Tennessee the weekend of June 9th-12th.
Summer Splash Las Vegas
What summer would be complete without a crazy pool party? Thanks to Summer Splash, Las Vegas, if you think you can hang, you have three different chances to close out the summer with a week of insane pool parties with the best DJs in the industry.
With artists like Tiesto, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Kaskade, and Tommy Trash, and exclusive VIP treatment at the best venues in Sin City, July and August will get a little bit hotter. The first weekend of Summer Splash starts on July 27th.
