Mindchatter Reworks LCD Soundsystem’s “I Can Change” on 10 Year Anniversary

Fresh off the release of his transportive single and music video for “Night Goggles”, budding New York-based producer and vocalist Mindchatter returns with a nostalgic cover of “I Can Change” by the esteemed electro-rock band LCD Soundsystem.

As one of the leading alternative pioneers of the millennium, the cover celebrates the group’s work in tandem with the 10-year anniversary of the track, originally released in 2010. Mindchatter puts his signature spin on the synth-driven slice, staying true to the original while adding his own dreamy vocals and playful retro beats.

On the cover, Mindchatter said, “Over the years, I’ve gained a lot of inspiration from LCD Soundsystem, and as “This Is Happening” turns 10 I wanted to pay homage to one of my favorite songs.”

As the latest signee to Mind of a Genius, the label behind tastemakers like ZHU, Gallant, THEY. and more, Mindchatter has spent 2020 defining his inimitable sound, and is proving himself to be an artist to watch. His handful of singles including “Trippy”, “Language” and “Scared To Go Home” have earned him over 6 million streams to date, in addition to support from globally renowned influencers like BBC Radio’s Pete Tong.

Following an extremely successful breakout year touring with Parisian electro duo Polo & Pan, Mindchatter returned to the studio to work on his own music whilst remixing major records like Channel Tres’ “Weedman” and AMTRAC’s “Stratego”.
