Marbs and Evan Casey Leak Single with Label Launch, Desert Hearts Black

Desert Hearts Records has announced the launch of a new subsidiary label, Desert Hearts Black. Announced earlier this week, the label will be a creative outlet for Desert Hearts founder Marbs and his techno partner in crime, Evan Casey. The label is geared towards “those in our family who enjoy heavier, darker, more journey driven sounds,” says Marbs.

The duo’s deep dark late-night sets have become a staple at the label’s flagship Desert Hearts festival. This year they teamed up for an iconic four-hour set that began at 2am and took the dance floor on a journey until sunrise.

Desert Hearts Black will stay on course with the vibe that these performances have crafted, “merging the connectivity of the brand’s core ethos with the melodic and psychedelic sounds of tomorrow,” according to the Desert Hearts team.

The first single is ‘Torus,” a collaborative track from Marbs, Evan Casey, and Rinzen, which will be joined by two other tracks on the ‘Torus’ EP, due on August 9. Torus is a unique and refreshing track that is already bending the minds of Desert Hearts fans everywhere. The song is “an ethereal and haunting journey into their shared cryptic psyche” and has been making its way into many of their sets the past few months.
