Indie-electronic is starting to become a riot in the EDM scene with many artists venturing into the unknown to discover new ways to create original and unique music.
Alejandra Ortiz & Luis Maurette are an experimental folk-electronic duo from South America that bring a primitive element to their soul touching composition.
Their tribal vibes tie together the sensuality of the female vocals along with natural sounds (water, wooden flutes, etc.), bongos, and electronic influence.
Lulacruza’s visual album Esperando El Tsunami is to be released in March, 2015.
The video below, “Pensar Bonito” is an excerpt from the album and it is absolutely mesmerizing.
Reaching back thousands of years to the roots of their ancestors, Lulacruza has a sound unlike any other.
Reality mixed with technology seems to be the key to a successful music career these days.
People are still clinging to EDM but are beginning to reach towards a more primitive time.
Huffington Post mystically describes the project of Lulacruza:
As musical alchemists, Ortiz and Maurette have achieved a harmonious balance between organic and inorganic sounds creating a truly shamanic sonic journey.
The infamous French filmmaker Vincent Moon, said to be the inventor of the music video, directed “Pensar Bonito” along with the rest of the visual album.
Not only is Lulacruza releasing the visual album Esperando El Tsunami in March 2015, but they are also currently producing a studio album called Orcas slated for release in April.
Lulacruza is set to perform their new music this year at Envision Music Festival at the end of February.
