Two of Australia’s finest have teamed up to create the amazingly deep track, “No Reason”. Loston, who’s popularity has exploded over the past year and Ta-ku, who has hit his stride by winning over co-production and remixes.
On “No Reason” Loston and Ta-ku combine their styles to create an immensely stellar collaboration.
Sampling the end of Foxes’ “Count The Saints”, Loston and Ta-ku pull the melody and lyrics “love isn’t always fair” for the song’s mantra.
With the vocals as the guiding focal point, the rest of the track is a blend of soft melody and deep bass. With Loston’s bright and poppy style melded with Ta-ku’s cinematic depth, “No Reason” weaves in and out effortlessly.
The first 44 seconds establishes the tone of the track, soon deepening to showcase the Australian powerhouse team’s capabilities. As per norm with Ta-ku, the track settles into an atmospheric space and the vocal play is the highlight. Shortly after that the track returns for the second build as Loston’s masterful vocal editing and shimmering hi-hat work takes hold.
