The Bristol drumstep/drum and bass/dubstep duo KOAN Sound dropped a 6 minute mini-mix previewing their upcoming album, Forgotten Myths.
Upon first listen, you can tell that these guys know their way around the studio.
Crossing tempos and genres alike, the immediate hallmarks of the album are its crisp percussion, tightly coiled bass blasts, and well-refined sound.
It’s immediately reminiscent of artists like Tipper and Spor, and that’s some stellar company to keep.
Punchy might be the best word to describe it. It’s heavy, it’s deep, and it has an overall menacing growl to it that’s perfectly suited for a massive warehouse rave.
