Denver resident Nick Miller, better known by his stage name of Illenium, has quickly made a name for himself in EDM. After dropping a number of huge tracks this year, making his EDC debut and playing stages from coast to coast, Illenium has had a stellar 2017.
His most recent track ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ is proof that Miller still has more in store for the year.
Illenium is best known for his euphoric tracks, which combine emotive builds and bridges with soulful and haunting vocals. Tracks like ‘Sound of Walking Away‘, ‘Fractures‘ and ‘Spirals‘ are hallmarks of Illenium‘s music.
Illenium’s most recent collaboration with Zeds Dead ventures into his other side.
“We’re just trying to live where the wild things are, where the wild things are.”
While many of Illenium‘s tracks are emotive and euphoric, his live sets promise a different experience. Between saccharine tracks, Miller drops heavy bass and dubstep, a style similar to one of his musical inspirations, Porter Robinson. Illenium’s most recent collaboration with Zeds Dead created a track that leans more towards his bass stylings.
‘Where The Wild Things Are’ was one of the most highly anticipated collaborations and has not disappointed. The drop is heavy, bassy and the perfect balance between Zeds Dead and Illenium. The track is sure to see airtime during Zeds Dead‘s Deadbeats tour, which will be hitting cities across the US.
As if the new collaboration wasn’t big enough news, Illenium recently posted in his Facebook fan group with some exciting news.
