Brooklyn, New York’s The Golden Pony is one funky duo that’s bringing the weird back to dance music, and we love love them for it. Comprised of producers, DJs, and multi-instrumentalists Timothy Monkiewicz and Thomas Murphy, the group has been on the fast-track to dance music immortality after first breaking onto the New York scene in 2013.

Bringing their distinct disco and deep/tech house vibes to the airwaves of Brooklyn and beyond, The Golden Pony has garnered over 10 million plays via YouTube and SoundCloud in their short time together.

Coming up as the resident DJs for BangOn! NYC’s legendary warehouse parties, The Golden Pony is no stranger to the weird wunderground. Honing their chops in the NYC party scene is no easy task, but TGP has proven time and time again that they’re up to the challenge.

With the BangON! NYC parties routinely maxing out around 5,000 attendees, the news is in; people want a Pony party.

After initially forming in 2013, 2014 saw an explosion in the group’s notoriety with the release of their Golden Classics remixes. The duo’s acclaimed remixes touch on old-school artists like the Grateful Dead, Simon & Garfunkel, and Talking Heads as well as contemporary acts like Flume, Kygo, Outkast, Dr. Dre, Passion Pit, The Chainsmokers, and more.

Throwing their signature sound on the classics, The Golden Pony has quickly become a dance party staple for those in the know.
