Rustie made his famous mark by introducing the world to maximalist electronic music.
Constantly progressing, Rustie continues to push the boundaries of maximalist dance music forward with his massive bombastic sounds.
Rustie’s latest album, Green Lantern, pushed his world into brighter and more vibrant sounds while still maintaining his grime/2-step influences.
Recently the Glasgow, Scotland producer has dropped a slew of new sounds for the world’s ears with several releases. Rustie’s remix of Ginuwine’s “Pony”, is one such tune – and it’s a big one.
Without any hesitation, Rustie bolts out the gate with slamming snares, and a bubbling, distorted low end that plays on the famous “Pony” bass line.
Rustie isn’t one make you wait for the melody, and he immediately brings in Ginuwine’s voice for the verse. A quick build up gets you ready for “Pony’s” legendary 90’s R&B hook, and Rustie flips the track on it’s head and grinds it with so much force that the bass will tickle your ear throughout the rest of the track. As is consistent with Rustie’s sound, synth sine waves scream through the mix to provide the perfect cherry on top of Rustie’s blistering “Pony” remix.
