The prolific Eric Prydz is at it again with the absolutely mesmerizing track, “Opus”.
Clocking in at just over 9 minutes, “Opus” is an audio journey that’s nothing short of breathtaking as it weaves through its hypnotic and enthralling progression.
Starting with short synth plucks as its only instrumentation, Prydz methodically builds “Opus” to keep listeners on the edge of their seats.
The song begins to ramp up as drums start fold in around the two minute mark as the tempo picks up steam. “Opus” continues it’s crescendo until the 3:45 point where it takes off with a reckless abandon as synths and strings pulse overhead. Pushing further still, “Opus” fully comes into its own at the 5-minute mark when everything coalesces to create a cathartic and massive progressive house tune.
As the song’s inspiring feel fully takes hold, Prydz slowly takes things back down in both tempo and intensity as the beat fades back to the intro’s dreamy synths. With an incredible tone and feeling, “Opus” is a perfect look into the international powerhouse’s signature style.
