Ultra Music has just dropped something that makes the soul feel warm and fuzzy, even in these wintery December conditions. It comes from a mystery alias called Tropical Holiday, who has made a stunningly addictive hybrid of tropical house and festive cheer.
The track is titled ‘Christmas’ (Baby Please Come Home), reworking a well known yuletide melody and letting sublime female vocals draw out its essence. On top of that comes a softly chiming chord sequence that is accompanied by jangles of jingle bells that contrast the sun-soaked core of this track.
It shouldn’t work, but it really does – we can’t get enough.
