Deep Root Records‘ new compilation series New York State of House continues with the Midnight Edition. Following the afro and deep house Sunset Edition, Francis Mericer selects a tech and classic house collection, while his afro house influence still shines through to branch into polished, tribal tech house.
The Haitian born, New Yorker Francis has been on an afro house tear lately with his latest releases ‘Premier Gaou’ with Magic System on Spinnin’ Deep last month, ‘Bolingo Nanga‘ on Blond: ish’s label Abracadabra which features original vocals from the Congolese superstar vocalist, Bibi Den’s Tshibayi, and ‘Inner Center’ on Get Physical’s afro house imprint with Ryan Murgatroyd. This success was the inspiration behind Deep Root’s first edition of this compilation which embodied Afro tones – the New York State Of House: Sunset Edition.
Now explore Francis’ friends offering classic, disco and tech house during the New York State Of House: Midnight Edition.
