German producer Claptone is an underground legend in the house scene. Based in Berlin, Claptone has steadily grown in popularity since 2012.
A producer who constantly tours, Claptone is currently gearing up for the release of his debut album, hopefully being released by the end of 2015.
The first single from the record, “The Music Got Me”, is an epic look into his style.
Stabby, bright, and undeniably digital synth chords bounce over the Chicago style bass line while the vocals immediately kick in and send listener’s off to the races:
“There’s a power in the music and its lifting me; wanna go higher!”
The track is simple and effective in doing exactly what it needs to: get you moving and ready for a good time. The thick Chicago bass line paired with the quintessential 808 style claps capture that late 80’s early 90’s techno vibe. Each time the vocals pass the groove changes ever so slightly to keep things fresh and moving.
