BRKLYN

How did you both choose the songs that made it onto your debut EP?

BRKLYN: We write a lot of songs. So between our mangement team and label we all decided what was best to release. We try not to have egos with our music and we try to put the same intention and character into each song. Capturing an honest moment to share is always the goal. We all relate to the same things or struggles at different times.

Describe the overall theme or message through this EP?

BRKLYN: The EP is titled “Remodel”. We signed with a new label and with a new sound. So we felt that it was important to share this journey with not only our og supporters but for the new ones as well.

Are there any specific artists or bands that influenced the sound and style of the EP?

BRKLYN: We love alot of artists eclectically. Some of the most recent influences have been Wax Motif, SIDEPIECE, The Martinez Brothers.

What do you hope listeners will take away from your debut EP after they’ve heard it?

BRKLYN: We hope they take away what was meant for them to take away. These songs aren’t about us. We hope if they like it that they will engage with us and come hang out with us when we tour.

What are some of your dream venues, festivals, and colabs?

BRKLYN: One of our dream festivals is for sure Coachella. Since we were in high school it’s always been a dream to play there. It’s iconic and a milestone for anyone to play. We made a promise to each other that we wouldn’t attend the festival until we were playing on the lineup.

Are there any particular tracks on the EP that hold a special meaning or connection?

BRKLYN: Ocean and Believer have some special meaning for us because we wrote and finished them during COVID. All we did was write music. So it’s cool to us that during such a tough time for everyone we were able to release some music from that period.

What’s next after the release of this debut EP?

BRKLYN: Lots of dope music on the horizon! Lots of songs with some of our favorite artists.

We can’t wait to see what’s next for this exciting duo. BRKLYN’s EP REMODEL  is out now on Spotify or wherever you stream. Give it a listen and connect with BRKLYN on social media. You will definitely thank us later.
