Artist Discovery: 7 Acts to Catch at Okeechobee 2020

We are just a few weeks out from one of the most anticipated music festivals of the season, Okeechobee 2020. This four-day Insomniac curated camping music festival is hosted in Florida over March 5-8. With a lineup stacked with acts like Bassnectar, Tipper, Alison Wonderland and Kaskade and so much more fun surrounding the music, you might overlook some fantastic sets.

Find the dancefloor during these 5, perhaps lesser-known, sets at Okeechobee 2020.

Thusday, it would be hard to miss the Bassrush takeover. Friday sees a duo from Boston who are not often listed on Insomniac festivals, Soul Clap. Count on that set going off with a proper house selection and whatever beats at the forefront of electronic music they reveal.

3. Party Pupils

The forecast is funky Saturday. Party Pupils deliver funky electronic sounds that are irresistible to dance to. Their groovy tempos are layered with disco infused beats and yearning vocals. This dance and electronic musical group thrive in live performance environments. Their sounds are groovy and hype and we are here for it.

4. Y2K

Come Saturday know that trap producer Y2K is going in. You may have heard of his banger, ‘Lalala’, but his collection runs much deeper. He will offer a fresh sound to the weekend that is certain to create a standout moment of the festival. Whether you are wondering through Chobeewobee Village or kicking it at camp, make your way over to Y2k.

5. Elohim

You may have heard of Elohim through her collaboration with Louis the Child for ‘Love Is Alive‘. Beyond that, she holds a great collection of trap and future bass bangers. It may be hard to leave the Jive Joint, but do your soul a favor and take in Elohim’s Sunday set.

6. Yheti

If you enjoy experimental music and heavy electronic then Yheti’s live performance should be at the top of your list. Yheti has a unique sound like nothing you’ve heard before. You can expect high energy bass, soulful melodies, and an eclectic range of sound samples from Yheti’s act. His music matches his name, elusive and mythical. Bend your ear and mind with a Yheti track.

7. ZiA

Make sure to keep this rising star on your watch list. Philly dj and producer, ZiA mixes heavy metal, alternative and punk sounds with dark dubstep and heavy bass. For a collision of genres catch her set Saturday. Get lost in Zia’s sounds and check out “Shotgun Sol” on Bassrush Records.
