Try to volunteer!
Volunteering at a festival may earn you a free ticket or, at least, free camping and meals. Many festivals really need help with a variety of tasks and often need a lot of volunteers to help out. Many will pay your ticket in exchange for your work. However volunteer positions fill up pretty quickly, so it’s best to apply sooner than later. Volunteering is also a great way to network and meet new people, as well as develop job skills!
Be satisfied knowing you productively contributed to the community and a better overall music festival experience!
More water, less alcohol.
This may be a bummer to many of you. However if you truly love the music, you will enjoy yourself drunk or sober. Many of the vendors at events charge entirely too much for beverages, leading you to spend nearly $100 extra bucks sometimes on alcohol over the course of a weekend.
If the event allows you to bring your own, then bring your own. However if the event does not allow you to do so, drink water. Your bank account will thank you in the long run.
