One of my most fond moments at Wakarusa 2014 was while I was lost and wandering the crowd aimlessly soaking in the moment. A guy came up to me and held my hand for a moment without introducing himself. He leaned in and kissed me on the cheek without saying a word and then left.
As his hand pulled away he left something in my palm–a cloth sunflower that simply stated “you are beautiful” scrabbled out in permanent marker. It’s currently framed in my apartment, next to a little rock I kept stepping on while funking out to STS9. Bring something (anything) to pass around that you’re not selling for money.
It could make someones day and, if not, at least the moment. It surely made mine.
