5 U.S. Music Festivals You Need to Consider Attending in 2014

1. Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada – United States

The only non-camping festival on the list, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas hardly needs an introduction. Known far as the biggest, and arguable the best, electronic dance music festival in the world, EDC Vegas has been drawing more and more EDM enthusiasts seeking a musical pilgrimage for years and this year is poised to be the biggest yet.

Without even announcing a lineup, EDC managed to sell out more than 400,000 tickets over 2 months in advance. I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around that. I guess the implemented art installations, performers, carnival rides, massive stages, and best performances in the EDM world will tend to have that kind of pull.

Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella has continued to engage fans far and wide, constantly addressing concerns through social media while touting the fans as the true “headliners” of the event. This kind of humility and gratification strengthen the familial perception of the EDM community while giving hundreds of thousands of people a role model to look up to; and on that, nonetheless, delivers as promised.

Each year EDC has continued to grow and push barriers even farther than imagined. This year sees to be no different.

For those looking for even more, EDC Week offers a slew of pre-parties at some of the hottest nightclubs in the world in addition to the third annual EDMbiz conference – that world’s premiere electronic dance music business conference.
