2. New York City, New York
Though New York has an early bedtime relative to the rest of the cities on our list, The Big Apple offers up, perhaps, the most variety of any. Any night of the week, any fan of any genre looking for any thing to do will be able to find something.
Named one of CNN’s best party cities in the world, New York City offers up warehouse raves in Brooklyn, upscale mega-clubs in the Meatpacking District and any thing else you could hope for in between. With five boroughs and an abundance of culture, EDM lovers will have no problem finding their niche, whether it be the booming sound bellowed by the Funktion-One system at Output or the 128 beats per minute at Pacha.
The top four revenue grossing nightclubs – Lavo, Marquee, Pacha, and Webster Hall – bring in an estimated 70-90 million per year (which is chump change as we will come to find out). Must be doing something right.
Oh, and I haven’t even touched on the music festival selection which has come to include Electric Daisy Carnival New York, Electric Zoo, and Mysteryland U.S.A.
I guess this is what you can come to expect from the largest city on the planet.
