Insomniac will host a Reddit AMA today, September 2, at 3 p.m. PT to discuss health, safety, and sober raving in preparation for the upcoming 20th anniversary of Nocturnal Wonderland.
In light of the tragic events at HARD Summer 2015 and other events throughout the electronic music community, we’re glad to see a company as influential as Insomniac continuing to lead the charge for attendee safety.
Maren Steiner (Insomniac’s Director of Health and Safety) and Patt Ochoa (Consciousness Group Volunteer Manager, Co-founder/Program Director of Sustain Recovery Services, and member of the Board of Directors for Harmonium) will be answering questions and discussing festival precautions as well as reinforcing the importance of looking out for one another at dance music events.
Also set for discussion is the Consciousness Group, an organization that provides a sanctuary for sober rave attendees with regular meetings, group support, and activities at their sober tent during Insomniac’s festivals. Partying isn’t the only way to enjoy music, and if you’re looking to avoid it you can rest assured that there’s a community of support awaiting your arrival.
Rave safe, friends.
