Multi-genre producer and professional memer Ookay has been putting out heat lately. “Thief” has garnered over 4 million plays and paved a new artistic direction for him.
While it’s an amazing track, many fans questioned whether he’d still be producing trap/bass music.
His newest single “Buck” channels his signature sounds for an energetic trap banger.

“Buck” opens with a classic Ookay buildup by using unconventional sounds and instruments, similar to Boaz van de Beatz‘s style. He has used distorted trumpets and flutes in the past, such as in his remix of “Lean On” to add some uniqueness to the previously over-saturated trap sound.
If you’ve been a fan of Ookay for a while, then you really can’t dislike this track. While his energetic tracks such as “Buck” are fun, what we’re really looking forward to is the follow up to “Thief”.
He hinted at new music dropping soon so it’s only a matter of time until we see where he’s headed artistically.
