Bliss Burn returns March 19–23 to Costa Rica, taking shape once again at The Garden in Platanillo. Entering its third year, the new festival in Costa Rica continues to grow organically, guided by participation, shared responsibility, and depth over distraction. Built through collaboration and local intention, Bliss Burn has developed into a conscious campout shaped by those who arrive ready to contribute.

The 2026 theme, Cavalia Mágica, frames the experience from the outset. Imagined as a roaming caravan or moving collective, the theme leans into motion, transformation, and play – a traveling energy that shifts form as it moves through people and camps. It invites costumes and performances that feel alive and in flux, welcoming expression and weirdness as the weekend unfolds.
Bliss Burn draws from a lineage of underground gatherings where building together forms part of the experience. Music, art, workshops, and ritual spaces emerge through collaboration, with participants shaping the environment as it develops. The scale stays intentionally intimate, allowing shared convergence alongside quieter pockets of connection.
Set within jungle and bordered by rivers, The Garden establishes the cadence of the gathering. On a personal level, Bliss Burn connects me back to some of my earliest experiences with this same creative circle – moments that first pulled me into participatory festival culture. Years ago, being welcomed into their Savage Hearts Camp at Desert Hearts shifted the direction of my creative life. Returning now, to their own land and creation as Bliss Burn continues to take root, feels like reconnecting with that same current – familiar in spirit, new in form. Coming directly out of Envision Festival, Bliss Burn settles into a more intimate rhythm, grounded in relationship and shared conservation.

Musical programming unfolds primarily on the Bliss Stage, where live music and electronic sets coexist throughout the gathering. Artists include Zach Walker (Pink Mammoth), whose sound carries a slow-burning, ceremonial weight; Swayló, blending groove with warmth; and Santos & Zurdo, bringing rhythm-forward, movement-driven energy. Sage Farris, DTO, Bianca Aristía, San Sal Zigany, and Ashira Sol add depth and texture, moving between dancefloor propulsion and more exploratory terrain. Flip, Segatto, OMANI, and Nacho DJ – one of the co-founders of both The Garden and Bliss Burn – round out the lineup, anchoring the weekend across styles and tempos.
The Elev8 Stage expands the experience into movement and practice, hosting Ecstatic Dance, Improv, Yoga, and Workshops. Facilitators include DTO, RahQuel Star, and Nixie Marie, alongside a wide range of movement practitioners, educators, and guides shaping the daytime flow.
