Matisse & Sadko "Azonto"
Atonza

For the follow-up to their monstrous single, “Sigure,” Matisse & Sadko come out even more vehemently with their latest dancefloor destroyer, “Azonto” (Trice Recordings/Armada Music) on June 2nd.

Chosen as the 50th release on Armada Music sub-label, Trice Recordings, “Azonto” is a blistering Afro-house track brimming with explosive, tribal energy.

An animalistic 4/4 beat hits hard from the intro as primal, tension-building synths work the sonic pressure to a lusty climax before…boom! Monstrous horns detonate in a sinister minor-key leaving all hearts racing. The post-apocalyptic images conjured by this prowling high-energy, peak-time track are of hedonistic warlords summoning their armies to battle, except this battle rages on a wide-open festival field.

Azonto“Azonto” – with echoes of the same fluttery, rapid-fire drums as “Sigure” – is a snarling hot track very much in keeping with the dominant sound of today’s electronic dance music (EDM).

It’s no wonder the brothers Matisse & Sadko have quickly become a name recognized by clubland cognoscenti as their fanbase continues to grow.

Indeed, Matisse & Sadko exemplify the current wave of internationally respected EDM producers who have become tastemakers in their own time.

Previous Matisse & Sadko releases, in addition to “Sigure,” include “Hi Scandinavia!” (Armada Music) and a host of others.
