Bringing the heat from Burlington, Vermont is Cory Wythe, more widely known as Marvel Years. The producer and guitarist crisply blends electronic beats and soulful guitar to create his signature sound that combines glitch, retro-funk, classic rock, soul, jazz and hip-hop.
You can except Marvel Years to set the table nicely for Pretty Lights Live at the Gorge as he slings hot hip-hop and electro funk beats.
Recently he released a gem for Gravitas Recordings called ‘Anywhere You Want To Go’ and offers it up, like most of his music on SoundCloud, as a free music download. The single opens up with a classic guitar riff then he layers in hip-hop lyrics followed by a funky drop that’ll get you boogieing down.

This one kind of just kind of flowed out of me. It was a hip hop beat that I was experimenting recording live bass on. I added a bunch of guitar and I found this incredible piano recording from the 60’s that I chopped up that was perfect for this. It’s one of my favorite tunes I’ve written in a while.
