Lifelike Adds French Touch to Roman D’Amour’s Daft Punk Inspired ‘La Romance’

House music pioneer Laurent ASH aka Lifelike returns with another truly spectacular remix, adding his french touch to Roman D’Amour‘s release on Computer Science, ‘La Romance’. Over the years, Lifelike has made a name for himself, producing and remixing for artists such as Daft Punk, Empire of the Sun, and Moby.

Laurent’s early Black Chess EP on the legendary 20000ST record label fortunately led to him getting upducted by the French Touch family, a french family of otherworldly Parisian artists that includes Daft Punk, Justice, Alan Braxe & Fred Falke, Air and Cassius, among others.

In the spirit of families reunited on the dancefloor after a year of zooming, Lifelike brings that massive dirty french house club sound for his version of ‘La Romance’.

The original mix premiered of Music is 4 Lovers, a spectacular track in itself yet Lifelike’s style brought it to an entirely new level. The steady and melodic beat sounds hits the ear right, capable of getting the club’s lounge section moving.

The song was inspired by French house pioneer Thomas Bangalter‘s (Daft Punk) very first releases on Roulé records, and Lifelike certainly made him proud.  To think, Laurent ASH may just be one of the lucky few who know what Daft Punk looks like…

Be sure to check out his extensive singles and remixography, especially his worldwide hit ‘Discopolis’ which has sold over 100 thousand copies.
