Kaskade and L’Tric Rework Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams”

Kaskade is known for reworking tracks into distinct, infectious deep house bangers, distinctly branded as redux. On his collaborative effort with L’tric to remix the Fleetwood Mac classic “Dreams”, his take on the track does not disappoint.

The original track is calming, soulful and pensive, and it seemed to be a goal to let this shine through on the rework.

Rework of “Dreams” by Kaskade/L’tric

According to Kaskade, he and L’tric didn’t want to change the “too-perfect classic vocals”. Instead, they tried to combine them with “crazy sexy bass + beats”.

The end result was definitely what they hoped for, then. A deep-house inflected instrumental plays under the original vocals of Stevie Nicks, and the track is a standout from recent releases both for the vocals sampled, and the way they blend with this sub-genre of house music. The throbbing bass line and steady beat lead the track into an epic climax about four minutes in, and this groovy tune ends off quite similarly to the way it begins.

Kaskade and L’tric truly worked redux magic on this classic track. Get your free download of this gem on Kaskade’s site and, in the meantime, listen to it below.
