Jay Z & Linkin Park – Numb/Encore (N2N Remix) [Free Download]

The music world went in to a frenzy in 2004 when Jay Z and Linkin Park teamed up for their “Numb vs. Encore” mashup that peaked at number 20 on the Billboard charts.

The seamless alignment of the melodies and lyrics of each track was like they were made for each other. The first time it filled my ears I couldn’t help but think of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon against The Wizard of Oz.

This time around, NYC producer N2N has injected the collaboration with a little bit of tropical life. Hard to think that the melodies of the originals could be displaced with something better, but N2N’s remix has us thinking it was made for this all along.
