“Numb”comes from Grammy nominated UK artist Elderbrook and is the first off his highly-anticipated debut album, due this summer. A live phenomenon and self-taught singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist – this artist is definitely one I’m super excited about in 2020. Is Elderbrook’s ‘Numb’ Better Than RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ‘Innerbloom’? Find out for yourself. All we know is that this music is therapy.
His massive collaboration last year with Rudimental, “Something About You” hit #1 at US Dance Radio, amassed over 60 million global streams, and came accompanied by a powerful video that promoted mental health awareness and inspired a global #StrongerTogether viral dance challenge.
Elderbrook video for “Numb” follows this same theme, touching on themes of human connection and emotion that are often missing from the electronic music space.
In 2019, he enchanted venues around the country during his headline tour, including an insane sold-out show at New York’s iconic Bowery Ballroom. This year, he’s set to play an incredible array of marquee festivals – including Hangout, Bonnaroo, Northern Nights and others – as well as two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre with Louis the Child.
Meanwhile, Rudimental – the multi-platinum UK collective releases a lush, bubbling club track – “Krazy” ft. Afronaut Zu – song harkens back to the early days of UK Garage, and is the perfect soundtrack for the arrival of warmer weather. The guys have also announced a forthcoming second track “Easy On Me,” which will mark their third collaboration with the legendary Martinez Brothers, set for release on March 20th.
Their third studio album Toast to Our Differences was also released in 2019 and has since gone on to amass over 1.7 billion streams, with “These Days” ft. Jess Glynne, Macklemore & Dan Caplen recently earning RIAA Platinum certification in the US.
