With his Say It Loud EP set for release March 31, saxophone wielding, electro-funk producer GRiZ strolled into the Pandora Discovery Den at SXSW to a packed house, eager to see what his fourth studio album will bring to the table.

The Detroit-born composer and All Good Records front man wasted no time laying down deliciously soulful sounds. Loaded with an eclectic track selection, the 40-minute showcase that included classics like “A Fine Way to Die” along with remixes of “Forgot About Dre,” “Stayin’ Alive” by The Bee Gees and Aerosmith’s “Dream On.”

As the entire crowd continued to vibe out, GRiZ closed out the evening of funk-filled shenanigans by bringing out emerging Lowtemp artist and fellow instrumentalist Russ Liquid for a brassy rendition of Fatboy Slim’s “Funk Soul Brother” that was a fitting conclusion to the night.

From what we’ve seen so far at SXSW 2015, no performer has ignited a crowd as GRiZ did during his Wednesday performance at the Pandora Discovery Den.

If this was any indication of what’s in store during his upcoming tour, fans have much to be excited before. For more information on GRiZ’s upcoming album and tour dates, visit his official website by clicking here.
