Boulder, Colorado producer Matthew Hood AKA M3H took Foxes’ song, “Youth”, and turned it on its head for an inventive trap remix that’s about as far from the original as a track can be.
Originally an electro-pop song, M3H takes “Youth” in an entirely new direction with this trap remix.
With resonating vocal samples that are chopped and screwed to near oblivion ringing, the anthemic lyric “don’t tell me our youth is running out, it’s only just begun” soars high into the stratosphere.
Quickly building his remix to a peak, M3H drops “Youth” into a smooth groove as ten foot tall piano chords provide a bright touch to the driving bass line. As compressed snare hits pour over glistening hi-hat rolls twist and turn to round out the beat, an ethereal sound emerges that is seldom found in a trap song.
