Explore The Untz Festival’s Lineup of Bass Music’s Bests [Playlist]

The Untz Festival is held to a high standard in the weird bass music community. This year, the festival returns for the 3rd straight year at the Mariposa Fairgrounds in California. Hidden in seclusion, the fairgrounds are surrounded by mountainous hills and a nearby farm where even the cows get weird at night.

The Untz Festival is the perfect place for letting go under the stars with your favorite bass artists and peoples.

This year’s Untz Festival lineup is stacked from top to bottom with exceptional talent. Headliners include Caspa, Koan Sound and Mala. Each of these artists have been making music since the early 2000’s and are notorious amongst the bass scene.

As if you didn’t already have enough to look forward to, the list of supporting artists is unreal.

There will be an incredibly rare 3 hour set with the “Pioneers of Dubstep” Joker, Hatcha, Youngsta, and J Kenzo. There will also be some familiar faces returning to the lineup this year. The Undergrowth crew out of North Carolina will be doing a special b2b set together for the first time. The Eazybaked boys will also be back for their second year at The Untz.

In the last year they’ve truly made a name for themselves. There’s been a steady stream of new music coming from them since their Untz Festival debut and people are starting to take notice. Enjoy our exclusive interview with Cut Rugs after his standout set from last year.

The Untz also has Thazdope records, Wormhole and Shadowtrix returning to host curated stages. All of which are very respected names in the weird bass genre. Founder and owner of Thazdope Records, Kevin Moore, has been putting in mad work to make sure this year’s festival has the best of underground talent represented. You’ll get to experience a special 4:20 set with the man himself, otherwise known as Spankalicous.

The Untz Festival is a special place for many reasons. It’s a place where the artists become fans. The talent that deserves a crowd gets their chance to shine. It’s an atmosphere that’s unbeatable compared to other festival vibes. Even if you aren’t able to head to the west coast this summer, this playlist is guaranteed to introduce you to some new artists you’ll be obsessed with in no time.
