Ever since solely revealing Pretty Lights as a headliner on Christmas Day, there have been rumblings as to who else would grace the Euphoria Music & Camping Festival lineup.
An unconventional, albeit effective, method of generating hype, the exclusive announcement of Derek Vincent Smith had the music festival family endlessly speculating as to who else would appear on the 2015 ticket. With Euphoria known for crafting highly talented, genre-crossing lineups, there was no doubt that this year would be any different, especially with the event expanding to three days.
Speaking to the expectations associated with a Pretty Lights cliff hanger, festival organizer Mitch Morales stated:
We wanted to set the bar high this year and let fans know what they can expect for 2015.
While setting the bar high has inherent risks, Euphoria Music Festival did not fail to deliver.
Today festival organizers rolled out the appetizing first phase of Euphoria Music Festival’s lineup.
With an increasingly loyal contingent known as the Euphoria Tribe, the Austin music festival continues to exhibit their commitment to community, rewarding fans with a carefully crafted lineup.
In addition to the innovative electro funk of Pretty Lights are the face melting dub stylings of Adventure Club, hometown heroes Ghostland Observatory, and tribal enticements of Thievery Corporation. Not to be overlooked is livetronica elite jam band STS9 (along with lightning designer Saxton Waller) who have ushered in a new era of the band over the course of their 2014 tour.
Having become synonymous with that community vibe, it makes sense that Euphoria would choose Pretty Lights and STS9. Representing two of the largest cult followings across any genre of music at the moment, there is no question that Euphoria will be a packed house this year.
With multiple stages hosting nearly 40 acts, the Texas music festival will have little trouble bringing the beats to the banks of the Colorado River. Located a stones throw from Downtown Austin, the Carson Creek Ranch provides 40-acres of lush landscape for festival shenanigans. All of this will be perfectly conducive to the advancements the event continues to implement in the coming year.
Attendees can expect intricate stage designs, interactive art installations, yoga and meditation workshops, stage performers, heady festival food courtesy of food truck vendors, and a late night silent disco to cap off daily celebrations.
These investments continue to illustrate that Euphoria is evolving into much more than just another music festival: it is establishing itself as a multi-sensory experience and one of the must attend music festivals in the Southern United States.
Emphasizing the experiential aspect, Morales continued:
Expanding to a full three days of camping, coupled with our diverse lineup has allowed us to create an immersive festival experience unique not just to Texas, but to most festivals out there. We really want to emphasize our culture and show fans what sets us apart from the rest.
A unique, picturesque setting and authentic culture are propelling Euphoria into a category among the likes of Electric Forest and Shambhala. The only thing these festivals have on Euphoria is time.
The formula that the Austin festival has established will continue to reel in festival aficionados seeking a soul cleansing musical pilgrimage.
Joining the aforementioned headliners are Break Science, Emancipator Ensemble, Archnemesis, Luminox, Manic Focus, SuperVision, Viceroy and many other talented artists.
With even more acts yet to be announced, it is difficult to dispute that this is the most enticing Euphoria Music Festival lineup to date.
If getting weird and having high quality sounds poured directly into your ear hole sounds like an enjoyable affair, look no further than Euphoria Music & Camping Festival.
The fourth year event returns to the outskirts of Austin, Texas from Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12.
