Emancipator is hitting the road and bringing a few friends along for the ride.
Doug Appling, a.k.a Emancipator, announced that the Loci Records Showcase Tour, featuring label signings Tor, Edamame and Lapa, is going down for the first time. The tour will be hitting select cities in late 2016 and early 2017.
Loci Records to showcase current and rising talent with 9-stop tour this November.
Loci Records calls itself “the crossroads of melodic downtempo, instrumental hip hop and electronica” and plans to highlight what each artists’ sound brings to the label. The idea behind this Showcase Tour is to have all signings come to a meeting point and share their art collectively in a live setting with their fans.
When discussing the tour, Emancipator stated:
The venues we’ve chosen are purposely more intimate than previous Emancipator tours, and it will be Ilya and I performing (No Ensemble) along with Tor, Edamame, and Lapa. We’ve been focused heavily on the band for the last couple of tours and it felt like a perfect opportunity to play a different style show and expand on some of the ideas that fall into that set VS the Ensemble. In the future we may expand to different cities and will definitely be hoping to include more of the roster, but this felt like a great starting place to build from.
The tour kicks off on November 26th in Vancouver, British Columbia. Check out the Loci Records website for ticket information.
