It’s been a massive year for electronic dance music and the charts can prove it. Despite haters consistently attempting to put a nail in the proverbial coffin of EDM, all analytics, search trends, studies, and charts illustrate that the powerful acronym is here to stay.

Regardless of personal perceptions of what “EDM” truly is, utilization of electronic elements continues to spread throughout “traditional” genres like wildfire. A chart that was previously dominated by pop, hip-hop, and rock is seeing the scales tilt towards electronic compositions.
