Zac Brown Band shocked the country music world earlier this year with the release of the EDM influenced hit, “Beautiful Drug” The group traded in their cowboy boot-wearing, chicken-fried, Southern brew-drinking personas for a quick affair with Avicii-style electric beats and heavy guitar influence.
Although the band’s latest album, Jekyll + Hyde, took some heat for experimenting with a more electric feel, the band plans on continuing this EDM influence as Zac Brown will take over writing most of the songs for the next album.

In an interview earlier this year, Brown tells Rolling Stone Magazine, “I love electronic music. I spend a lot of my time listening to that and just trying to understand what makes it work — what makes it move people the way it does and why they have some of the best-selling festivals in the world.”
Zac Brown is no stranger to Avicii, as his vocals were featured on the much anticipated track, “Broken Arrows” this past October.

You can catch Zac Brown Band on tour now through January. Will Avicii make a guest appearance on stage?
