Being in the same city that Christian Löffler stops in along a US tour feels like an astrological event. After crossing paths at Catch One in Los Angeles, the rare occasion arose again at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver. Stepping onto the stage with a freshly mastered album, A Life, Christian revealed a progression in dance music with an uplifting sound design that could only be cultivated from his Berlin and worldly experiences, off-the-grid lifestyle, undeniable creativity and vocals from absolute diamonds.
While creating the lead single of his new album, ‘Roused,’ featuring one of underground’s most beloved vocalist, Malou, Löffler shared, “after creating for a while, I soon realized that the more straightforward and uncomplicated ideas are often the most powerful.”
The repeat-worthy release builds with room filling bass and rises with Malou’s sensational vocals then escalates with gratifying synth work, making the crowd feel at home when aired live.
The crowd Christian drew to Cervantes was a mix of its own, all full of personality and holding an unspoken sense of comradery for being in the know of what Christian Löffler does. This time Christian took us to a new place by reaching into fun electro pop at points between his choice selection of vibrant melodies and driving beats that brought the ballroom alive.
