Hailing from New Jersey, USA, Brandon B graces us with his debut single, “Above”.
A progressive house track filled with lush piano, pads, and synths that aim to transport you far “above” the clouds.
With buildups and progression techniques reminiscent of Avicii‘s older style of work, Brandon B is no stranger to progressive song structure. This track has a very catchy melody and a solid foundation behind it.
Since falling in love with EDM at the age of 15, he began learning the art of DJing by purchasing his first set of CDJ’s & a Rane 57 mixer. Learning the in’s and out’s of scratching, beat juggling, and reading the crowd, he immediately knew that this was something he wanted to pursue full time.
He began getting booked for private events but as the music selection was usually top 40’s or disco, he knew he had to differentiate himself. Therefore, he cleverly found away to mix & mash songs seamlessly to create a great party mix while still pandering to all audiences.
“All I want to do is put a smile on people’s faces when they hear my music and be able to take them to a place that lets them escape reality.”
After seeing his work, a top tier remixing company in New York City, “Crooklyn Clan”, gave him an opportunity and he began releasing weekly mashups, bootlegs, and DJ edits. As his music began spreading, so did his name among NYC’s nightlife, and he found himself performing at iconic venues such as Pacha, Webster Hall, Hudson Terrace, and more.
When Brandon B released “Above”, his fan base grew and soon enough would have people around the globe sending him messages praising his work.
With new singles planning to drop every few months and remixes out every week on Crooklyn Clan, it certainly won’t be the last time you hear of Brandon B.
“I love my fans! When I see them listening and joyfully react to my music, it has to be one of the best feelings in the world. It inspires me to continue being creative and make the best piece of art I can possibly make.”
With his passion for music and willingness to success, Brandon B strives to have his music heard by millions. A Grammy, sold out tour, and headlining performance at Miami’s Ultra Music Festival are just a few of his goals and one that he hopes to achieve in the near future.
