Almost synonymous with the name Baauer is the formerly viral track “Harlem Shake”. In 2013, Baauer’s single became a dance floor smasher as well as a viral sensation but, if you were to dig a bit deeper, you find that Baauer is an absolute magician behind the decks. Baauer’s sets tend to deviate from the traditional trap music norm; Throughout you can hear influences from spanish music to dirty southern trap beats.

After exploding onto the scene in 2013, it seems that Harry Rodrigues prefers to hide in the shadows after his new found fame.

Upon the closure of 2013 festival season, Baauer had fallen off a bit, playing minimal festivals and shows throughout the subsequent two years.  However, for trap music fans there is rather big news for 2016. Baauer has announced his first stop of 2016, Coachella. On Sunday April 17th &24th, Baauer will take the stage to deliver a long awaited return performance. If you are unfamiliar with  how a Baauer live set sounds, below is a flashback to his 2013 set in the Sahara Tent at Coachella.

Rumored to be dropping any minute now is Baauer’s debut album, the title of which has not yet been revealed. With the new album on the way it is safe to say that his 2016 Coachella performance will be heavy with fresh music.

If you are lucky enough to be able to head to Coachella this year, here is an idea of what you can expect.
