Kicking off the selection is a fresh sound out of New York from Deep Root Record’s label head, Francis Mercier’s ‘Bolingo Nanga’, then Jamie Jones’ remix of ‘Fearing Love’ with Lee Foss. DJ Dove shines with a classic house ‘Illusions’. Following is an essential addition of Roland Clark’s ‘Free’ with Vintage Culture and his ‘All My Friends’. Channel Tres is represented with his dance floor ‘Controller’.
Laying down some bass house is the up-and-coming Los Angeles based producer, HoneyLuv with her ‘PAIN’. This month the legendary, Mariah Carey made a massive house music appearance with Low Steppa‘s rework of ‘Your Dreams’. Then a techno release featuring Robert Owen through Kölsch’s remix of Harry Romero’s ‘Back’. Following you will likely recognize Honey Dijon’s ‘Thunda’ that has popped up everywhere since its 2018 inception. Ending the collection is the release of Bobby & Steve’s soulful house set for Groove Odyssey.
This collection does not begin to scratch the surface of the influential names like Carl Cox and Green Velvet that have made electronic music what it is today.
