Electronic dance music is saturated with a male presence, with mostly male DJs headlining all of the top festivals. A lot of the ladies are out there killing it, helping elevate the electronic dance music scene to a whole new level. However, they are not always getting the respect they deserve. For example, the recently released DJ Mag top 100 (though flawed in its’ algorithms) saw only two female groups (Krewella and Nervo) crack the top 100.
