Vusive Delivers Biggest Project To Date, Shook To The Core EP

Vusive‘s avant-garde approach to producing experimental soundscapes stems from his classical background and over 14 years of studying the violin. During his live performances, a large focus is put on improvisation and live instrumentation. Vusive’s well-rounded knowledge of composition gives a new life to the characteristics of experimental music as we know it. His versatile nature shines in his latest project, Shook To The Core, which also includes the most tracks Vusive has released on one project.

The 5-track EP is a self-released combination of dubstep, trap, and halftime. Each track has its own unique differences, while also complimenting one another to create the overarching theme. Let’s dive into each track below:

AVLNCHE – Vusive

“AVLNCHE” starts the EP off on a high with subtle synths and ethereal sounds that seamlessly transition into a glitchy garage breakdown. A variety of bass drops are distributed throughout which allows the listener to stay engaged and anxious for what comes next. Ultimately, this track seamlessly blends sounds ranging from industrial to psychedelic to give “AVLNCHE” a personality all its own.

Derailed – Vusive, NewGent

Vusive leans into California based rapper and DJ NewGent’s vibey vocals for “Derailed”. Expect crunchy experimental sounds fusing with trippy vocals for an eccentric 4 minute journey into a Vusive signature sound.

Hit That – Vusive

Classic Trap patterns and experimental sounds come together to make “Hit That” a statement on this project. With Foley based samples and a variety of pitches, tones, and rhythm the track compliments the EP title perfectly as it aims to shake listeners to their core.

Spooky Chugz – Vusive

Halftime music seems to be making a wave in the EDM world as of late. Halftime can be defined as the time signature is cut in half which makes a track feel slower than it actually is. For example, “Spooky Chugz” is a testament to the halftime phenomena. Trap drum beats give the edge to “Spooky Chugz”. If experimental, glitchy trap is your thing then this is the song for you.

Post Mojave – Vusive

Last but certainly not least is “Post Mojave”. Another halftime inspired track with a psychedelic based melody that hits in all the right places. This one certainly serves as a cherry on top to a stellar project.
