Traveler is a live electronic band comprised of the American producers Zander and Peitzke. Established in 2010 and currently based out of Santa Barbara, California, Traveler has opened for major headlining acts such as Flume, Seven Lions, Duke Dumont, Odesza, Emancipator, Pretty Lights, and many more.
The pair re-launched this year and have released their first single since the hiatus. It is an original production and deftly exhibits the maturing of these artists’ studio production skills.
“Forget Me” mimics a star-gazer’s unbridled delight with a lush production and pulsating 4/4 beat.
Fans of Traveler will instantly recognize the duo’s gorgeously gooey atmosphere replete with the tinkling synthesizer effects that seem like liquid rays of sunlight. “Forget Me” has a feeling at its core that envelopes listeners as they become hopelessly enthralled. It’s as though the music itself possesses a heartbeat, its warm blood coursing through the veins of the loudspeakers.
Sonic waves travel across the air upon the introduction of an electric guitar, its piercing screams stretched into a dreamlike riff evoking longing and lust. Like Traveler itself, “Forget Me” is impossible to neatly categorize. The track is at once retro and modern, celebratory and sophisticated, energetic and wise. It puts the listener in a mindful yet exuberant mood.

He states:
“Peitzke and I have been working really hard on these originals. I feel very inspired right now. We have so many amazing ideas we want to share. Releasing new music can be a little nerve-wracking at times, but it’s so satisfying to share our music with the world and have people connect with it. We’re really happy with ‘Forget Me’ and we have a lot more originals and remixes coming out soon!”
