According to reports by the Indian news outlet The Asian Age, Tomorrowland is set to expand to its’ fourth country following the success of the annual U.S. gathering and excitement following the announcement of the Brazilian edition.

The potential expansion to India comes after the massive success of Sunburn Music Festival which left electronic dance music fans craving for another event to call their own.

With the recent announcement to bring the event to Brazil in 2015, festival organizers continue to see the opportunity for expansion in to yet another market with a rapidly expanding fan base.

Sources close to the industry claim:

The live performances wing of Universal Music India will be bringing the feted Tomorrowland experience to India. India has emerged as a major EDM destination after Sunburn and it’s no surprise that there is international attention on the scene here. Universal is looking to expand its live music space in India and there can be nothing bigger than Tomorrowland to do it for them. It’ll be the biggest event in the country’s growing music calendar.

According Head of Universal Music India – Devraj Sanyal – the event is neither confirmed nor denied, though it seems that the buzz has some legitimacy to it.

We’re neither confirming, nor denying that we’re doing Tomorrowland… or other projects for that matter. We’re currently ironing out some details of a project we’re working on and will make an announcement when the time is right… probably in October. We’ve consolidated on our merchandise business as well as non-label ones, so intellectual property will be a major part of our focus now.

So what do you think? Will India be the next stop for Tomorrowland? Where would you like to see the festival expand to? Leave us a comment and let us know your thoughts.
