Entering into dance music from folk roots, Jay Bird introduced us to a bursting of indie dance singles in 2017. Since then, Jay Bird has taken his uplifting music around the Golden State, leading to 2023 being his best year yet with releases on Tiësto’s Blackhole Records and Claptone supporting his ‘Never Come Down’ on Will Sparks’ imprint TEAMWRK. In addition to the releases, Jay Bird also got the call to support major artists such as Matroda, Green Velvet, Habstakt, KSHMR, Joshwa, and more.
Simultaneously, Jay Bird launched a music production academy and artist development program fittingly named the Birdhouse Bootcamp.
One outstanding graduate of The Birdhouse was Devloe, a fellow Bay Area artist who quickly rose in the ranks, garnering support from Armin Van Buuren on A State of Trance for his recent song, ‘Athon’.

Studio chemistry sparked a more ambitious partnership between Devloe and Jay Bird, leading to a warehouse rave project in San Jose to nurture the house scene on the Southern San Francisco Bay. The events’ success and demand from many Birdhouse artists hatched a new record label.
On May 17th Jay Bird and Devloe launched The Birdhouse Records in style, offering a stellar compilation album that showcases a nuanced approach to house music. As if for a tropical disco and the after party’s warehouse vibes, the compilation features releases from TEGI, MRVLZ, Nico Crespo, C NELLIE, and Jay Bird himself.
Find the Miami based TEGI playing at Club Space packed with releases on DIRTYBIRD and listen to his remix of Calvin Harris’ ‘Miracle’ with Tommie Sunshine. His efforts garnered recognition from Tiësto, Dj Snake, Borgeous and Slander, among others.
MRVLZ is a duo out of San Jose who aim to evoke admiration and wonder with their releases on Monstercat, Tropical House Records and Future House Records. Nico Crespo has worked with MRVLZ for their recent release ‘Vente Conmigo‘ on CLUBWRK’s as well has established himself on labels such as House of Hustle and Space Yacht.
Then get to know C NELLIE, doing his thing out of New York with dreamy remixes of songs such as Livingston’s ‘Last Man Standing’ or Avicii’s ‘Heaven’ and now with the honor of launching The Birdhouse Records with his debut original, ‘One Day’. The Birdhouse Records is set to continue consistently releasing music with a mission of fostering culture, class, and community in the dance music space.
